THE REMOVAL OF ALCOHOL AND SOLVENTS MAY BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH SORBENT MEDIA CONSISTING OF CARBON AND POSSIBLY MIXED WITH ALUMINA POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE DEPENDING ON THE ACTUAL SOLVENTS INVOLVED.

We have additional industrial air cleaners that are quite capable of handling your air quality problem. If you don't find a solution to your problem here please contact us again for further suggestions. Depending on the size of your shop and the amount of printing machines it may be more viable and cost effect to select equipment for source capture of the vapors at their source. We have several possible candidate air cleaners that could be used for source capture and which contain sorbent media to trap volatile organic compounds such as alcohol. See for instance the model M-66 or M-66V and M-73 under the industrial section of our site. The M66 will hold up to 135 pounds of carbon operating at 2000 cubic feet of air per minute and the M-73 will hold 180 lbs of carbon operating at up to 4000 cubic feet of air per minute. The M-66 and M-73 may be used for ambient background air cleaning or ducted for source capture.

We recommend about 6 air changes per hour(ACH) in a typical office. If you have sources actively emitting pollutants into the ambient air of the room than you should design for 8 or 10 ACH depending on the amount of emitted pollutants.

The following chart estimates how many cubic feet of room air should be allotted to each machine in order to have enough machines and enough air cleaning capacity.

These machines contains a high efficiency filter to trap particulates such as smoke, dust, pollen, bacteria, allergens, etc., and 15 pounds of sorbent material to capture gases, odors, and fumes. We recommend one machine for each 4000 cubic feet of air ( 6 air changes per hour) if this is a typical office or residence. However, if you have activities which are producing higher than normal levels of pollutants you may need to have one machine for every 3000 (8 air changes per hour) or 2400 (10 air changes per hour)cubic feet or air.  HM-200 HAS HALF CAPACITY
